Q-Park awarded a place on Office of Government Procurement Framework

Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have been awarded a place on Office of Government Procurement Framework after a competitive tender process.

Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have been awarded a place on Office of Government Procurement Framework after a competitive tender process.

The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) is responsible for overseeing public procurement processes across government departments and public sector bodies. Its primary role is to ensure that public procurement is efficient, transparent, and delivers value for money. The OGP develops and implements procurement strategies, manages frameworks and contracts, and provides guidance and support to government agencies on best practices in purchasing goods, services, and works. Through its initiatives, the OGP aims to foster innovation, promote sustainability, and contribute to economic development across Ireland.

Q-Park are well-renowned across Ireland for operating popular off-street parking facilities across Ireland including in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Bray and have a strong reputation for offering safe and secure parking for customers. In addition to this Q-Park lead the way in innovation within the parking sector. Whether it be a nationwide rollout of Electric Vehicle Charging Points or developing their own state-of-the-art ANPR system to connect both their pre-booking system and Mobile app to, they are always eager to take that next step and keep moving forward.

One area where Q-Park had less experience was in on-street parking which then limited what frameworks they could apply for. This was however about to change when last year Q-Park completed the high-profile purchase of Park Rite. Park Rite are also one of the largest commercial car park operators in the country with a diverse client base including retailers, financial institutions, real estate investment trusts, private investors, hospitals and local authorities. They operate parking facilities across Ireland’s busiest cities including Dublin, Galway, Limerick amongst many others as well as managing on-street operations for a number of Councils. Operating car parks in Ireland for nearly half a century has meant they have a strong reputation and have won awards including being named a Gold Standard Deloitte Best Managed Company.

As this acquisition strengthened Q-Park’s position and experience they entered the competitive OGP Framework tender process with confidence. They were successful in being awarded a place on the following Lots:

  • Lot 1: On-Street Managed Parking Services
  • Lot 2: Off-Street Managed Parking Services
  • Lot 3: Combined On-Street and Off-Street Managed Parking Services

Alastair MacDonald, Director of Operations at Q-Park Ireland commented ‘We are delighted to have been able to secure access to three Lots on the OGP Framework. It is testament to the hard work from our teams that we have secured such a strong position. We look forward to bidding for and winning contracts across Ireland.’
